Portland, ME – The Salvation Army Portland Corps sent 40 local children to Camp Sebago in Standish, Maine during its first session on Friday, June 30th.   The children departed from The Salvation Army located at 297 Cumberland Avenue at 9:00 am.

Beth of Scarborough sent her son William for his fourth season.    Also, Philomena and Ken who moved their family from Nigeria to Portland in 2016 are sending their three children to camp for the first time.  They are so grateful to The Salvation Army for this affordable opportunity for their children to experience the great outdoors on the shores of Sebago Lake.

The Portland Salvation Army will be sending a total of 117 children to Camp Sebago this summer.
